I agree with Ir Vernon. It is no good e
carrying on a debating society argument with
the War Office. Hong Kong can contribute
what the Colonial Government and the .of S.
think fit. It would, I think, be very sharp
practice to require Hong Kong, merely because
it is one athe of the limited number of
Colonies which pay military contribution,
to pay 20 more than another Colony in
of ierwise similar circumstances would be
asked to pay as a subsidy to the air service.
